Default Best Profile ARF out there?

One of my best friends had a zillion miles on his MoJo 40 kit that I sold him prebuilt in ARC form. He finally killed it when an elevator servo locked in full down in a knife edge spin. He really loved the plane... but much like me... our jobs(we work together) don't permit kits anymore. He wants to know what is the best ARF going right now that IS available. Thanks for any input.

I would go with the OMP Katana V2 70. They fly great. I have a Saito 100 on the nose and it is more than enough power.

The 67" Fusion gets my vote, of all the profiles I've seen. They make a 52" version for .46 engines as well.

If you want a plane that will fly like a mojo (only hovering and torg rolling all day/ fat funfly wing/ crash it all day long and still fly) then the Fusion isnt the plane.

If you want the best flying profile in all forms of flying including precision and 3d then the 67" fusion is all that need be said.

Well, since you are needing it now I would go with OMP.

Also, Extreme Flight RC just announced two new profile ARFS they will begin production on soon. http://www.extremeflightrc.com/html/news.html

The Fusion Rocks... I built the kit and love it....

But it isn't your typical profile....
I can actually practice IMAC with it.. and then get silly....

But for an all out fun fly type plane... the Kat is really nice, the Mojo seems great...haven't had one yet....

If it was me I'd wait a bit and get the Chinn Yak when Extreme Flight get's them in.
Knowing Chris it's going to be an outstanding performer!

Or again, wait for the Extreme Zero Gravity from Cedar Hobbies.
The Zero G used some ugly wood and had a few construction issues but flew GREAT, the newer Extreme ZG is supposed to have had the issues worked out and be even better.

both should be available this summer.

But if you want it now then drop by OMP and get something Mike has in stock and ready to ship.

I'm confuzzed.... first you say that the Fusion ISN't the plane... then you say that it IS???

I have the smaller Fusion (kit with a Saito .82) and I agree, it is a different breed... and I love it....

is the larger Fusion that much different?

to clarify for you my man. The mojo is no precise tool its a funfly fat wing hover and torg only type plane. the thing that makes it the cats meow is the fact it can be doinked on the ground many times trying these low torg rolls all day and still fly.

The Fusion while you can hover and torg roll and 3d all day is also capable of precise pattern or imac style flying but is slightly more fragile than the mojo. thats the trade off

IMO unless you cant fly and/or you know your gonna crash the plane like a foamie( repeatedly smashed into the ground) the fusion is way better than the mojo in almost every way an aerobatic plane can be.
