Default Any DA-105 or DA-110 on the tests?

Is it in DA plans to design a new 100CC engine like a DA-105 or DA-110 in the future? Most 35% planes are in 26-28 lbs range and 200-300 more RPMs for those 27- 28 inches prop would be welcome for extreme 3D/IMAC

I wouldn't count on it. Just my opinion but DA does not release a bunch of stuff at once and they are working on the 85 for the near term and following it's release the 170 will be in the works. I find with stock mufflers the 100 pulls my 27 lb plane more than adequately and if you weigh closer to 30 lbs then perhaps some pipes would help.

All you have to do to get a couple more hundred rpms to the DA-100 is add Canisters.

I'm sure you meant tuned pipes, as cans don't add any power.

I must have been in the dark on this can info. I always thought cans did add power.

Hi Daniel
We are working on several new designs as we speak. No plans to discontinue any of the current engines. We will be offering more options in each size range.
Thanks

cans add a little more power like 100 rpm maybe a bit more but never as much as a tuned pipe

Hi guys, please focus on my question and I know how canisters and tuned pipes work.

That's the kind of info i was looking for before purchasing a set of CF tuned pipes. Will more options for the DA100 be available at the beginning of 2008?

If you wait for something better you will never get the job done .
I wiated far to long for the DA75/85 for my 2.3 extra and when
my engine failed (no DA) for the third time I sold the plane and
moved to a plane which would take a DA .

After the hassles I had with various engines my DA 100 is the best
bit of gear I have ever owned and I will buy a new 100cc class when
DA release it , though I wont be holding my breath . I love their engines
but I hate their lead times .

I just pulled the trigger on some K&S 1060 for my comp arf Yak and
if they do release a larger engine I will have a killer set of pipes and
even more power .

I think so many people want a larger 100cc class engine and its a shame
to see these people be temped by the dark side .

Stu

I think they are sticking with the 350 Chevy plan... everybody knows how to tune it, it is reliable, and it is powerful enough. If it is a proven design, why change it for 100 rpms..

100% agree with you. My right arm is tired of flipping my ZDZ engines and i am looking for something easier to start and powerful for any IMAC class in 35% planes. So, a DA-100 on tuned pipes is the ticket.
