Ok this is a help thread, I have completed my t-rex and I have it ready for flight... I think, I am at the age of 16, a 6 year aerobatics pilot, I decided to try helicopters- A COMPLETE MYSTERY! I have completed the assembly from video instructions from another forum website~. The helicopter seems structuraly and mechanicaly stable. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO MY GROUND SET UP WITH MY 9303 AND HOW TO GET IT OFF THE GROUND! I am using a JR 9303 A/S tx JR770rx GY240 s75 servos Castle creations 35 And a heli-max motor. I will have pics up by this weekend of the whirly-bird

The 2 best things you can do at this point is to get a sim and find some local help for the setup. You may also want to get or make some training gear for the first few flights. These will each save you a ton of aggravation and money. Helies do not fly like airplanes. If neither of these is an option at this point in time then we will do our best to talk you through your remaining issues. You will find that learning heli setup and flying will have a very positive influence on your plank flying. Helies are simply harder to fly and a lot harder to setup correctly. |

I have a simulator which I use frequently. The second issue of local is a little more complicated, most the fields in the area are anti-heli so I have not been able to locate anyone who is neer by to help. I have some wood dowls I can use from my "plank" building supplies for a training gear.

Go to helifreak and check out the videos by Finless Bob. Especially the CCPM,pitch/throttle curves and I think there is one on final checks? It is an absolutely HUGE asset all fisrt time heli pilots. Also serarch raptor technique and t rex tuning. |
