Okay, I suspect this has been beaten to death with a wooden spoon already, but I'd like a fresh take on it. I bought a G3 flight sim w/downloads 1,2,3. Quite frankly, the representation to giant scale sucks (I have a Dalton Aviation Extra 260 42%) in that it is very 'tip stally' where the real plane is not. I heard the Ikarus Aerofly Pro Deluxe has much better giant scale realism. All comments and experiences would be appreciated..... Greg |

| Not again.............Yes, this topic has been beaten to a pulp, then beaten again. You will learn nothing from posting that question. You'll have 20 guys that say g3 rules, and 20 guys that say AFPD rules, all with good reasons for their choice. It's simply up to you to decide which one you like better. |

G3 is better. It makes it a little bit harder to fly the planes so that you will be a better pilot. However, it's all how the planes are set up. If you want easy, d/l the RBull extra from www.rfmodels.com for G3. "i cant get anything to download from the site the 3d sucks the planes dont fly staight no matter how much you trim them and all the planes SUCK" If you are talking about www.knifeedge.com, you have to register. It's free and there are many new models there. Also, to those who have flown G3 a while back,(last year) G3 is a whole new breed now. 50% |

I was an AFPD guy for a long time, but found my self with G3 as well. Don't listen to any of the guys doggin either. Both have qualities that the other dosen't. AFPD is an amazing sim, looks great flys great (with some plane tweeking) and has 100's of planes for free to download. I use this sim a lot. G3 (only the latest update version which has new flight physics) is right on par with AFPD. And now there are also free planes starting to surface for it, (Including some great 40% planes from www.rfmodels.com) and you can Fly at virtual fields with other pilots ONLINE, which is a really cool feature. I love having both, and bounce back and forth quite often. I have been posting free color schemes for both right here on our beloved Flying Giants, in the File sharing forum. So if you look you will have plenty of planes for either to make practice interesting! People ae always going to take sides, but both sims need some tweeking to be realistic, and both can be if you set them up properly.

| AFPD Rocks!!!!! The helicopters are perfect you just have set them up right. The Raptor 90 on the Rc-sim site is the best flying heli i've seen. |
