I'm thinking of taking a job in the DC / Andrews AFB area and I am wondering where the best fields are and if there might be some good IMAC dudes to fly with. Sick as it is it might give me a place to start looking for a house. Thanks, Jason

Jason- lots of clubs and IMAC contests in DC- five contests within 1.5 hours of DC this year. A bunch of clubs, too. I am NE of DC in Howard County and have 5 fields within 45 minutes drive. Drop me a PM and I'll be glad to have a phone conversation. Here's some clubs in the area: http://dc-rc.org/ http://www.freestateaeromodelers.org http://www.pgrcclub.com http://www.charlescountyrc.org/ http://www.swaprc.org/ (southwest of Baltimore but easy drive from North and East DC suburbs) http://www.paxaero.com (something going on with their website right now- located in Southern MD near the PAX River NAS) http://www.1nvrc.org/ (Northern Virginia) There are others that may be of interest depending on where you live. OverTemp - If you kind of want to see where some of the RC Clubs are actually located, you might try using this file from Google Earth. I've been working on an RC Club Database using the coordinates of the center of the clubs RUNWAY, instead of the zip of the club contact. I have around 1800 club's located worldwide so far, and just zooming into D.C. I can see all of those mentioned above. If you have never used Google Earth before it's pretty neat, and it's FREE. Click on the link called "View In Google Earth" if you already use it and it will do an auto start and copy the file into the Temp Folder. If you try using the View in Google Map option it won't work due to the file being to large having to many points. Hope this helps a little as well. http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthrea...t=1&PHPSESSID=
