Default Shipping a finished 2.6m bird overseas?

Hey guys,

I have been in Brisbane, Australia for going on 6 weeks now, I am not going to be coming back anytime soon so I am trying to get my 2.6m out here. I am curious who has shipped internationally. If you have, can you please tell me the procedure you went with to get your bird to you safely? What carrier? And how long?

Just thought I would ask before I release my bird to the shipping gods.........

Thanks,
Chris

How are you enjoying Australia mate???

Are you going to be around when the DA challange is on? You should come and have a look if you are.

What about selling your 2.6 over there and picking one up here in Australia, there are quite a few good ones that come up for sale from time to time which would save you building a new one.

Keep an eye on this website, there are new adds popping up fairly often.

www.scaleaeros.com.au go to the for sale section.

Australia is like no other country! Enjoying it over here very much! Work is going so good I just had to rent a house for 6 months.
I Defiantly will be here, I have had a few guys offer their bird so I could compete, don't really feel I have enough time. I could never sell my Comp. I would be willing to get a new one though... I will defiantly keep an eye out on the website you gave me, I really appreciate it!

Hope to see you around, I am a member at T-Mac at the moment..

I've had 3 planes shipped to the US from Europe, and they've always come on airlines, so check out air frieght. It's not cheap. Mine were $300 to $400, but it is fast, and I don't think you'll find anything cheaper.
