Okay, GAME ON! After uploading videos until 3AM last night, we straggled to the field. Saturday at Muncie started off with a bang with the one round of Knowns. The Heli and Plank crowd cycled through the rounds, and put on one heck of a performance. As the day progressed, the unknown, or full freestyle flights began. Some of the best flying I've ever seen. There were a few very unfortunate crashes, and the competition was heated! Speaking of heated, the temperature in Muncie was HOT! And very humid. As the day wrapped up the scores were announced, and the advancing pilots got their ticket to compete tomorrow. The crowd of spectators on hand today was insane. Thousands of people were present, and enjoyed the show. Saturday's scores are posted here: XFC Saturday Evening Scores Later in the evening, the balloons launched again, and the Summer Sizzle carnival was packed! One of the coolest aspects of this year's XFC was the cameraderie that existed between all the pilots. There is a great crew on hand, and we're stoked to have had the opportunity to attend. More to come from Sunday, stay tuned to FlyingGiants.com for the latest coverage and scores as they go down. Enjoy the photos! Looking at the ailerons and rudder, I would guess that the wingtip touched in either a knife edge pass, (and tried to roll out) or in a rolling harrier
