Default Help with interference needed please???

Hey Guys

I have had a very unusual problem with my new plane. I have been having interference problems when the motor is running. There are no conductive wires or rods going into the fuzz from the motor. I am running two pcm synthesized recievers
one for the left side and one for the right side of the plane and today just to try find the problem by process of elimination I put the right side rx on the left and the left rx on the right and this solved the problem??????
Can anyone tell me why or help in any way with this problem????
I am very reluctant to fly this plane until I can understand what is or was going on in the fuz and why swopping the rx's around solved it.

Thanks Trev

Define what the actual interference problem looks like - servos chattering?
Ya got a good one there guy. Have a third rx you could introduce into the problem diagnosis?

well the elevator servo was glitching ONLY one side all the time and the throttle servo would glitch aswell and then kill the motor.

Curious if you respectively relocated your antenna wires also when swapping out rx's or if you just crossed the rx ? ( hope you understand what I'm getting at!)
Are you using an electronic ignition (whose?) or magneto?
Can you post pics of your install?
Pics may help!?

Do you have "CANS" on the plane? If so make sure the cans and the header are not touching. That will give you interference that is hard to track down. We have diagnosied this on several planes.

Interesting factoid! Thanks jtec/radiowave.
Port side rx = no problem - Starboard side =problem -
Swap the rx's and problem gone.

Still think the header / can install could be an issue?

I didn't relocate the antenna wires just simply moved across the rx's. One antenna is onto a whip arial and the other is standard rx arial wire exiting out the fuz.
The Ignition is a RC EXEL electronic and I have had the same motor with one of these recievers in another plane with no problems.
Here are some pics of the instalation.
Since these pics were taken the throttle and choke servo's have been moved into the fuz

Thanks for the help and ideas
Trev

the only thing i see is that one reg is in a different location to the reciver than the other one,but i don't thing this would be a problem.is the ground lead to your spark plug taped because of damage or just to stop some rubbing?if it is damaged this can cause some interference and you can have ten recivers and maybe only one will screw up
