Wanted:

Large Scale UAV/RC pilots with 5-10 years experience with large RC's

Description:

Provide External Pilot services for a multi-year contract supporting UAV flight operations for U.S. and Coalition forces. Candidates must first complete an overseas external pilot training curriculum. Upon completion, position entails operational rotations to deployed theaters to perform manual UAV launch and recovery day and/or night from a conventional paved runway. Pilots must also perform occasional ancillary jobs and contract-related program support tasks.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of large scale RC experience
• At least UAV 300 flight hours (emphasis on current platforms)
• Flight demo in the U.S. and overseas
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must pass FAA Medical Exam
• Must be eligible for a U.S security clearance
• Must pass a drug/alcohol screening
• No criminal record.

Preferred:

• At least two (2) years of experience as an External Pilot of a UAV desired (runway launched and recovered e.g. Hunter or equivalent).
• Military External Pilot course desired, but not required depending on skills
• Preference for qualified UAV external pilot instructors

Check out Navmar. I saw an offer similar to this over the winter and inquired. Pay was high ($400-$500 a day) and threat was low (3 on a scale of 10) with ONLY mortar-lobbing as a potential hazard My wife reminded me there are more important things in life than "playing" (hard to call it working) for too much money
