Politics aside, take a look at this article. I find it hilarious in one sense but it really does mean you can back up any story with convincing logic and evidence. Really, take a look, it is only about 2 pages long. http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/f...4068db11f4&p=4 |

I pray for 12' snow drifts like we had when I was a kid living in northern Ohio. My family moved to Ky when I was 12 'cause my dad didn't like cold weather and for the next ten years or so,...we had relatively decent amounts of snow. Not like in Ohio but it satisfied the snow spirits. Didn't get any accumulation at all this year and I gotta tell ya', it's kinda freaky. One thing he left out of his article though that also affects climate change is Ozone...or a lack there of. Just read in Astronomy magazine that this is the first year that the ozone holes over the poles have actually decreased in size since they started keeping track of them. It is directly related to the amount of crap being pumped into the atmosphere. And since "the world" has been cracking down on "crap" it seems to be having a positive effect. As for global cooling...bring it on. The polar bears will love it too. Remember, you can always work hard enough in cold weather to stay warm, but you can never work hard enough in hot weather to stay cool.

I don't mean to go to far off topic, but these facts are amazing. No matter How many time I think about how big stuff is, just in our own solar system, the mass of the Sun is simply mind blowing. Sun Diameter in Miles: 865,000 Jupiter.......................89,000 Juptier is big, really big, but next to the sun, its insignificant. Earth..........................7,926 You could fit 990 Earth's into Jupiter with taken into account the 25% loss of the space between spheres. Our annual obitital distance from the Sun varies only 3%, and our distance from the sun is 93,000,000miles. Another visual comparision of the mass of the sun to the earth, is a full grown african elephant, with a tadpole of a frog placed next to it.

Global warming is real. CO2 levels have never been this high in the history of the world, and greenhous gasses are booming. Global warming is an actuall problem and if one is too ignorant to realize it and take charge to at least try to help a bit, then there is no hope for that person. If we continue like this, the **** will really hit the fan. The climate system, and the earths atmosphere can't take this much longer. I think it would be great if some people would get their thumbs out of their asses and start doing something instead of going, oh it's normal, or god wants it this way etc.

Whats funny is that your 15, and I see tons of people that just listen to Al Gore and discovery channel and actually take those sources as the obsolute truth. Or their parents for that matter. If you read that article that I posted, it actually gives super relavint graphs that point directly to global cooling even though it may sounds absurd. On Al Gores Website on the home page he says that the majority of scientists believe in Global Warming. And then in the next sentance he talks about how scientists think that it is man's fault. It is basically a blatant lie on Al's part. The majority of scientists obviously believe that the earth is getting slightly warmer, who wouldnt, but he twists it and says global warming which, when used in context, implies that man is causing the problem and that that is what most scientists believe. Fact is, the science is so primative that no one really knows anything for fact at all. Its amazing how easily influenced people are. |
