hey everybody, picked up my first giant yesterday, after weeks of searching the net and trying to come up with the best deal for me, I found a complete rtf 35% Carden Edge 540T with a Da 100 in it only an hour away from me for a smokin deal. It actually used to be Jason Danhakl's plane and it is shown on Cardens Website's Gallery under Jason's page, it is the red white and blue on. Since i was close, i drove to Chief Aircraft and picked up new Li-Ions for it, an EQ-10 power expander and a few other odds and ends. It's unbeleivable how much they have over there, crates and boxes of airframes stacked in the hangar and in the warehouse, a shelf full of 14mz's, Da's and 3w's littering the walls. whatever you want, its there. One other thing, they have 2 35% Yak airframes over there with very slightly damaged wings the only thing wrong with them are cracked ribs near the root of the wing that would be easy to fix, $1000 airframes for $500, too bad i spent all my dough on the carden. If any of you are interested call chief and talk to dana. he showed them too me personally. Now its programming time so i can hurry up and get my maiden on her |

Sounds good. Welcome to the club. Once you've gone big you'll find it hard to go back. Only trouble is it becomes very addictive, no matter what you're flying, you'll always want something a bit bigger. Doesn't seem like that long ago the biggest plane I ever saw was a 35%er and I was blown away. Now the 40-50%ers are becomming quite common. BIGGER IS BETTER.

I know what you mean, I'm allready wanting a 40, but this will have to do for quite awhile, I can't beleive how much larger in person the 35 is compared to the 29% 50cc giles i have is.

Congrats, people kept telling me that once you start flying the giants you will not want to fly your smaller glow planes. I really did not believe them until I flew my first one. WOW, are they fun! Happy and safe flying.

Congrats on the new plane, Carden's are nice planes and Dennis and Caroline are great people to deal with if you ever need anything for the plane, they are really first rate !! I know what everyone means, I have a new 50cc Yak and new DA-50 in my living room and it will more than likely never be built and it an Aeroworks QB series. Again welcome.

well, i'm thinking that 33% and up is considered giant, i've got a 50cc 29% ultra rc giles that i thought was huge until i stumbled across flying giants, but now the carden dwarfs it, allmost sickening, now i'm doing the programming, ohh boy
