Default Who can Laser cut this?

I am working on a top secret project and wanted to know if the laser cutters that Aero Tech and those type of cutters can do it. I need to have .030" aluminum sheets cut basically to make a gasket riser. Then, gaskets on both sides. It's basically a simple base gasket look , just made from sheet aluminum. Thanks for the help giants... Keith

their laser should have no problem cutting the aluminum, but if you have someone around there with a waterjet, that would be even better, a waterjet creates zero heat, will cut anything, so you could even laminate the gasket material on the aluminum and have it cut at the same time

I was going to suggest the same thing. We had some metal parts laser cut and they warped. We have them waterjet cut now.

Hello,

Our Laser wil no cut metal. You need a good 500watt laser to cut aluminum. Thats assure no warp. Smaller lasers that are less power cut slower and tend get the metal too hot and warp it. I think waterjet cutting is a better choice.

Thanks

John

Gremlin,
Why don't you just use a scroll shear? Unless it's "O" metal, it'll do the job quite well.
