PRE REG AT: http://www.scaleaerobatics.ca/ or http://www.letsflyrc.com/imac/CONTESTS.asp?PageMode=VIEWDETAILS&REC_ID=226 I am really excited, we are looking good for 20+ Anyone sitting on the fence here, come out, bring a plane and have some fun. I guarantee no one is nearly as good as you think. Your plane is fine and so are you. See what all the fuss is about and no, you don't need a gasser. A tiger 2 or something extra could take the basic class. Winning is not the point, although it would be nice, improving your own scores is the point. We have the higher class US guys coming and some of those crazy dudes from the coast. Plus you get to see how bad I suck.

As of yet there aren't any pre reg Unlimited pilots, unless you could convince one of your unlimited buddies to come up. It would be awesome and a real boost if you could attend

Hey guy's! I'll be comin' up to compete in Kelowna. Just moved up to Sportsman!! My wife and I will be staying in our RV at Holiday Park Resort at the north end of Duck Lake with some family coming down from Prince George. Can you guy's tell me how many miles it is from there to your field & maybe shoot me some directions. (a pm will work if you want) Looking forward to meeting our neighbors to the north!

Freakin SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET It's awesome you southern guys are coming. Directions from holiday park. Go south on hwy 97 back towards Kelowna. Turn Left at Hwy 33. Follow Hwy 33 through Rutland and up the hill. You pass the "check fuel sign" on the right at the Pay and Save gas station the turn is up the hill about 1 mile on the left at Old Joe Rich road. Follow the road back down the hill to the switch back and go through the blue gate (very hard to miss). We are at the end of the dirt road. http://www.korc.ca/directions.html http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...7508&z=14&om=1 http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...0064&z=11&om=1

Well it was a good weekend 18 pilots registered with some serious aircraft and awesome flying, it would have been even better if mother nature hadn't given us the finger and bent us over Scores, a full report, many more thanks and pictures to come soon. A huge mad props thanks to the sponsors: Rulex Constructors Kelowna Speedway and Hobby PTA Hobbies /Hitec Duralite Batteries J'Tec / RadioWave Lesters Hobbies BC Hobby and Shaver Great Hobbies KORC I would also like to send my appretiation out to Bruce Hanely who helped out more than I can say The huge standouts flying wise this weekend, based on improvement and skill, both come from basic with Peter and Harvey from RCFCBC. Tons of thanks are still to come for all the other awesome guys who made this weekend a success, Russ Hillman

| This was a great event despite Mother Nature’s attempts (and occasional success) to smash our airplanes LOL. Everyone improved sas was evidenced by the much higher unknown scores than knowns... which I believe is somewhat abnormal HA HA. Thanks very much to Bruce Hanley who has done so much to help Russ an myself get IMAC going up here. Big thanks to Russ and Mike for all your work putting on the event. For most of us it was our first event and we all learned a ton of lessons thanks in large part to the US folks who came up. We all learned just how bad 0's can be LOL!!! I hope some of you will make it out for our first contest in Edmonton - and I will see you all again in Snohomish in October. Chris. |

Standings for Kelowna Basic 1st Harvey Dhiman Surrey BC 2nd Shane O'Conner Chiliwack BC 3rd Gordon Wilhelm Calgary Alberta Sportsman 1st Bruce Hanely Sammamish WA 2nd Nick South Bonney Lake WA 3rd Paul Dries Vancouver BC Intermediate 1st Mike Allman Vernon BC 2nd Stacy Conacher Trail BC 3rd Russ Hillman Kelowna BC Advanced 1st Jim Karmy Redmond OR We had a great turnout this year with 18 registered pilots. Pilots came from as far away as Redmond ,Oregon, Washington State, Edmonton and Calgary Alberta, Vancouver and Trail BC. We had pilots in 4 out of 5 classes, Basic, Sportsman, Intermediate and advanced. Despite weather issues both days, insane gusting rolling wind on Saturday and rain on Sunday we managed to get 3 rounds in which included 2 rounds of Knows and 1 round of unknowns. Everyone had a very good time and we now have a great group of IMAC pilots that will attend events and promote IMAC to others. The NW is about to get flooded with a bunch of us Canadians. A huge thank you to Bruce , Nick South and Jim Karmy for making the long road up to Kelowna. It meant allot to us to have you guys come up and every single Canadian who attended truly appreciated the fact you guys came up. I am looking forward to meeting more of you guys at Snohomish. I am still acquiring pictures from people so I will post some when I get some more as the pictures on my camera are lacking.
