YOUNGFLYER GOT A CAR!

well if you followed my other threads i was looking at a nissan 300zx and a nissan 240sx. my parents told me no for both cars because they were old and had to many miles. so my parents wanted me to get a new/used car so i wont have to worry about it breaking down. i narrowed my choices to the vw rabbit, ford focus and the scion tc. all three cars were decent but my gut told me to get the scion tc even though it cost more. SO, i bought a blue 06 scion tc. here are some pics, feel free to comment and ask questions!

by the way, the other scion in the backround, im trying to switch exhausts with her lol...hers is better but hers is also auto haha! the black car in the backround is the 300zx i was looking at, its my brother in laws

those el caminos were nice thought. i could have gotten a hand me down but i thought i would be much happier paying out of my A** for the next 5 years lol. i think it was well worth the money!

Congrats man,

I'm originally from Annapolis and remember when my parents floated some cash my way to get a car my senior year of high school. Unfortunately I flipped the car on the fifth day I had it on Route 50! I got hit by a sewage truck going 60 miles an hour while I was going 15 mph..and the accident was my fault. I and my passengers were lucky to come out without a scratch and our lives of course.

So, not to sound like your mother but rather a guy who learned a hard lesson....be careful my man... and have fun too!

thank you guys. i told my mom i just wanted a decent car at a decent price (7000-8000) but they were will to front me money for a newer car just for the piece of mind. they didnt want to worry about me being stuck without a car if it broke down or always putting money in it. this car i may be paying a lot but it will last me a LONG time and wont give me problems plus i get two years of free oil changes (saves me hassle of doing it myself). oh with the seats folded down, i can fit a 33% if i wanted!!!! Many told me to be safe and not only you guys and while i dont have the experience that my dad does, i try to be as careful as possible. i have a plan where if i total the car and the market value is more than what i owe, then they pay the difference (gap insureance).

This car may have been expensive for me but as we always say in the hobby, if you try to spend less now then you may be paying more later!
