Hey casey An old simulator cord caused my fuse to blow a while back and i took it to the local hobby shop because i was confused aswell but he just told me how to do it myself Its easy, just take the back casing off and the fuse is right there near the top under the antenna I just took the fuse to the local electrical shop and they gave me one with the same "current capability" or whatever you call it its much cheaper and takes like 5 minutes to do |

Its no big deal to change the fuse. I have had to change mine a couple of times. Just take the case screws out and open it up, you will see the glass fuse. I think it is a 3 amp fuse but dont remember for sure. Radio shack has them...

It is only a half-amp fuse. It can blow if you try to quick-charge. They also just plain tend to blow every so often, for unknown reasons. Luckily, you usually find this out when you go to turn the radio on and it doesn't. I have never heard of one just popping mid-flight. It is very easy to change them and Radio shack will have a similar size one, but in a slightly smaller diameter. They work fine so long as you squeeze the clips on the circuit board tighter...or you could pay the $7 for two of them at your LHS...

Dont return it. This has happened to me about 5 times over the course of chargine my radio for hundreds of times in the past 3 years. It is super easy to do, just pop the case off by removing the screws, I think the fuse is located on the front side of the radio underneath the antenna but that might be my 6102 because I have blown that fuse a couple of times. I have a big old 1950mah NIMH battery in my 9303 and when I charge at an amp sometimes the fuse will blow. Just go to radioshack and they will have the 3A fuse you need. My radioshack has the exact ones, or maybe that is just because I have been using thiers for so long, oh well. |

I have gone to a 3 amp, slow burn fuse. If the radio has a internal short, it's going back anyways and I was getting tired of changing them. 15 years on 347 8103 9303 and never a problem since!!

you dont need to send it in. this often happens when fast charging. the first time it happend to me i called horizon and was told to not charge it at more than .9 tenths of a amp and this will not happen. and its very easy to take the case apart and replace the fuse. do youself a favor and do not use a slowblow fuse on your radio. doing this can cause you a radio. if you are not shure after charging then just let the radio sit for apx 5 min after taking it off the charger, to let the surface charge die off. then turn it on
