what is the stupidist thing you ever done?

we all do dumb things, myself included, but was wondering....how many on the giants have done something incredibly stupid, only to get by on the skin of their teeth and not get killed or less.....hmmmmmmm?????...lets hear!

ok... i'll start...- jacked up my car and had it fall on me...only part way...cinderblock saved my life/and my ribs.....close!

Went to see how a 20" wheel would look on my dads car and used a jack that was broken. Didn't have the car high enough. couldn't get it up higher so I couldn't get the wheel on. Go to put the other wheel back on and its too low? OH #$#@%!!!!!!! Put a jack stand under the car lower the car onto it and get the factory jack out and lift the car up. Car slips off jack and the car is sitting on three wheels and a rotor. LOL!!!! long story short I put the other jack under the back of the car somewhere and got it high enough to get the other jack back under and put the wheel on.

Dad was screaming and yelling the entire time.


Not the stupidest though....

I got my thumb caught in a M203 grenade launcher. Took the skin right off the top of it. Painful

When I was a kid I went down a snow hill backwards in a sled. I hit back, head first. I woke up with my sister dragging me back home in the sled.

Several years ago a wind storm knocked a large tree limb onto the roof of our rented split level house (basically a two story). It was up there for weeks so one day after work, I decided that I was going to get that limb down. Having no ladder or anyway to get up on the roof, I decided that I needed to "snag it with a rope or something. Couldnt find a rope but I did have a really long extension cord. I tied a 2x2 to one end and proceeded for about an hour to try and snag this thing. I finally got it and drug it to the roofs edge. I then pulled it off. It fell and first snagged on the powerline input into the house. I thought for sure it was going to pull the line feed out of the house but didnt. It just kinda bounced there for a few seconds then fell to the ground....................and then toppled onto the front right fender of my '75 280Z.........crushing it. Needless to say......that event greatly curtailed my pot smoking days.

my wifes uncle cut some saplings up in PA on a windy day...one got hung up...(10" diameter/60 ft tall) he turned his back and walked away....got fifty or so feet away and came down on him....smashing his face into his knee....was under that tree for two hours before someone noticed....lost all his teeth and his kneecap/broken jaw.....he aint cutting no more trees and turning around again, thats for sure!

I was at a security checkpoint once with my old minivan, and I shut off the engine with the car on Drive. I forgot about it and then when I wanted to start the engine, obviously it wouldn't start. I wondered why, and then I popped the hood open and took a screwdriver and I jumped the starter relay so then the van started on Drive, almost ran me over, broke through the security gate, and on it went into the neighborhood full of kids. I had to run after it for like a good 100 yards, get in, then stop it.

That was a thrill..... Dangerous one, and stupid.
