I spent my Navy time working "I" Level maintenance on F-14 equipment. It was always my favorite plane since I first saw one.

Sad to see them taken out of service. With their updates, I thought they would be around longer.

By far the best looking jet ever. It is so sad to see it replaced by the hornet and the soon to be JTF.

The last combat flight was Feb. 8'th 2006 aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

The last ceremonial flight was on Sept. 22'nd 2006 at NAS Oceana.

And the actual last flight was on Oct. 4'th from NAS Oceana to Republic Airport, Long Island New York.

Keep in mind that these flights are of the USN's F-14's and not the F-14's currently flown by many of our allies.
