Help! Climbing Inverted Flat Spin (How?)

Hi Guys. I have heard of these but have never seen one done.
Can I get a few descriptions of how it's done and what the aircraft setup needs to be?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Robert

For an actual one you need a really light plane with tons of power and you need to have huge throws on all the surfaces.

But of course most of them are actually just a inverted harrier where you try to turn as fast as you can holding full rudder and jockying the ailerons and elevator.

Instead of tryng to enter one from a flat spin, enter one from an inverted harrier, just practice turning one way inverted and get tighter and tighter when you feel more comfortable.

Thats how its done.

I spent some time yesterday trying to get my AirWwild Edge to climb in a IFS, I could get it to almost stop descending but not climb from a flat spin. I'll try the harrier method next time and see what happens...

3.5 does it really easily, but the newest upgrade makes it a lot more difficult.

Most planes will actually climb in an upright harrier like flat spin. I know electrics most of them anyway do it really easily. But other than that you rates on the elevator might be just a little too high. But if you do dial them down don't go too far.

How critical is throttle vs elevator deflection?

If you have a profile 3D plane like a OMP Katana or TMPro's new Extra 260 they are really easy to do climbing inverted flat spins because they are so light weight and have huge control surfaces. And also just keep practicing !

Have the power to weight, lot's of deflection, and open up the spin a little while playing the surfaces. You cannot hold a super tight spin and climb, but you can have a spin that's not as tight as it could be and climb. A tight spinning harrier could be an appropriate call for it.

Well usually it's a total combination of the two. But also you have to keep in mind that you usually don't need full throttle in an IFS. But it's like everyone else has said just keep practicing.
