Default Small Plane = BIGTIME FUN

If you people want a little more fun at your local flying field then by all means you will be needing a couple of these small birds i found at RadicalRC.com.

It's called the micro stick it's been around for a couple of years and im sure a few of you at one time might have even owned one or two.

I had just found this little jewel myself and have been having a blast with them.

With only a 17" wingspan and a AUW of 3.3 to 4 oz this small plane will still fly on a 20mph wind day...Unreal

The first one i built i used the GWS ips direct drive set up on a 3x3 gws prop,It wont hover on this set up but the plane will still fly in the 40mph range,Great sport flyer set up

The second one i built i used a Medusa 12mm 4100kv Brushless with a CC 10amp speed control both are useing Cirrus 3.3 gram elevator servo's(they work great) and a HS-55 for the ailerons,No rudder on these small birds you can add it if you feel you need it but with the weight i opted not to add the rudder and really have not missed it that much.

Wow with the Medusa for power this thing hauls im sure it hit 70 to 80 mph useing the same 3x3 prop,I ran the amps and im only drawing 6 amps at WOT with the TP-730 im getting around a 15 min flight time.

So if people want a kick in the pants then get a couple of these they are in kit form but build in a couple of hours.
Just remember to keep the throws very small on the elevator and get the CG set spot on the main spar or this lil devil will be very pitch crazy.

You can find these on Ebay He sells the plane kit with the motor and 2 props along with a heatsink mount for the motor all for like $48.00 all you have to do is add a small speed control 2 micro servo's and a micro receiver you can have this lil bird flying for around $100.00 with covering and the stock set up thats a steal
Here are a couple of pics

Wow...

That seems like a very hard build, just because the parts are so small.

How was the build?

Xippy how will it fly with that stock motor? The speed control needed is a brushed motor one right?
