I have a real basic one, a Mountain Models DL50. It's a ton of fun, everytime I bring it out someone tries to get em to sell it. It always ends up getting flown a bunch at the end of the day when the sun is setting, and we pass the transmitter around. Just a lot of fun.

I have the Solo DLG from Soaring USA and it makes a great sport DLG. Pretty good bang for your buck. If you are looking for something more competition grade I would suggest something like the Polecataero XP-5.0, or Taboo GT.

Mike,

I got a blaster 2 from Kennedy composite and man that thing is fun. I go out in my back year area and fling it around all the time. If you get one you will love it.

I have a Polecataero XP5. Weighs in at a whooping 8.5oz with all the gear in it. Benn flying it for 2 years. 4 d-4.7 servos carbon leading edge and the rest is Kevlar.

The Blaster from Kennedy composites is 2.4 friendly. Something the other planes lack but are soon to fix. The Taboo and XP5 are rummored to have new Pods coming out.

Currently Im building a SuperGee II. Not easy to build as I am using 1oz kevlar. Its hard to work with. But its all fun
