Hello Guys, First of all; Thank you sooo much for all your responses to my question "your favorite trainer". It was really very helpful, reason why I post this question. I have amost made a decision about a trainer plane, but I am still considering to, in addition to a trainer, train at home with a simulator. Since the RC club meets during the weekends, that gives me "practice time" during the week. I have done research on Internet about the simulators, and it looks like IKARUS, G3 and Reflex XTR are well known. Whoever has experience with these simms, would you be so kind to share your experience with me please You guys's experience means a lot to me and is soo very much appreciated. |

In my opinion I would cross G3 off your list. it is good but it is complicated and the planes don't fly well. I'm selling mine to buy an ikarus aerofly deluxe. I've heard that the reflex is good but I don't have any experience with it. |

Aerofly pro delux is the one! 1) Best sim period. 2) looks amazing! 3) Free Planes 100's of them... 4) lots of fields.... I bet 75% of the pros train with AFPD. my 2.5 cents.

I used G2 last year to help layout freestyle routines and it works out great. I'm playing with G3 now getting the planes to fly more realistic. It's a big step over G2. -Kelly Gerber |

At my local hoby town they have a computer set up with G3.,fly before you buy type thing. Go to the LHS and see if they have one set up, gives you a chance to try it out. |

I'm going to say APFD too, just make sure you DON'T get the commander version. I did and am still regretting it :X The controller they give you wears out over time; the sticks have a big deadspot and the whole thing runs very giltchy. Get the adapter and use your own transmitter.

| I agree, I'd go with AFPD. We have the interface version, very realistic simulator, great graphics too. Hundreds of airplanes to download for free also. |
