Default Sad sight at Oshkosh

A father son team were doing reno air-race demos at oshkosh, The two were landing side by side on the 150FT wide main runway, The crosswing pushed them together. The Mustang on the ground tried to pull away but stalled and went in upside down. The other mustang slide about 300FT on its nose to a stop. Unfortunatly the son perished in the event.

Wow that sucks, and this goes along with Jim. He crashed his pitts Bulldog at Dayton. And I thought I was having a bad week.

Sorry to hear that.
What's up with all these crashes lately?
That's why I fly with my feet on the ground.

Prayers to familes of the pilots. It's sad to hear about this. Aviation is a dangerous thing to be involved in, there are risks. Lots of airshows during the summer, the odds just fell into this week.

Bad...Sad. I sure hate that. You know I always say when god wants you, he is going to take you no matter what and how...If you believe that sort of thing. I would like just to give my opinion if you dudes don't mind.......I think the plane on the ground really slowed down cause he was on the ground...The plane behind just had too much speed. I see he about had his engine cut. Ya know in one of our RC situations when we know we are in trouble what do you do? It is all in stick time and knowing what to do. Sometimes that goes out the window for all of us sometimes..We should have done this or that. Been there! But if he would have just kept going instead of pulling up and putting power to the plane he would have just PROBABLY hit the plane and they both would have slid down the runway. That is just my opinion.

It was just too close to try to power out of that situation.... Like me when I know I am going to crash or I have a dead stick on take off GOD FORBID I just keep going and don't try to turn. I just keep going strait and if I have open field or even trees I keep going and hope for the best.

I hope you don't mind that I shared a little because I really want to know what happen and if what I suggested would have worked.

Thanks
