César E. Falistocco is the guys name and all I can say is he has nuts made of titanium and the skills to meet it. The RANS is roughly an 85 hp homebuilt. In the show I watched him fly, he came overhead at about 3000 ft stalled it and did 23 inverted flat spins down into the box. Yep no Bull I counted them 23 flat inverted. He pops it out at around 500 ft or so and proceeds to give you about 15 minutes of the most graceful aerobatics you will ever see in your life and he does it in your face. Anything above 50 ft hardly exists. I will resize some of my photos but please realize these are with a still digital with only 4X zoom. Nothing is more than 50 to 80 ft away from me. I had my video with me as well but I was just too damned amazed to use it. I was sheet skeered I would miss something by looking at his show through a 1" veiwfinder. The guy is a gentleman to the tenth degree, has a personality that you would describe as humble but very sharp. A really nice guy is all you can say about him. You can find his web site on http://www.hangardelcielo.com.ar/ The thing with his flying is his total use of energy. With 85 hp you better beleive the thing wont torque roll or even look like a prop hang. But with prudent use of the inherent energy in his plane he just makes it do the impossible. Those wing tip touches are not accidental by the way. The photos are from an old camera that was state of the art with 2MP resolution and a shutter speed of about 125. So they are blurred a little and not centered. However the give you a very good idea. I am not sure how many of you are aware that Argentina has the F3A world champs in 2007. If you plan on making it I will assure you that the Argentinian hospitality is second to non in the RC world. Just good people as Biff or Billy Hell would say. If they give Cesar 20 minutes of time I am sure he will be there to put on a show you will never forget. It is not one of those noisy all HP shows, it is more like a ballet. Sort of like Biff in his pink TuTu at last years Joe Nall when he secretly got his hat back from Hat Napper. Photos to come Kiwi
