| Bad-Ass Super Contortionist! ![]() | It's on fellas. While speaking with Max today, I was officially challenged to a (T)BLT cook-off sometime during the Shootout. Some may remember the SuperflyJay vs. Max sandwich war. Well this may has come about as a direct result of that exchange. Max read my Healthy Alternative to a BLT thread and decided we need to put the bacon where the pan meets the flame. After all, I did call his BLT a "heart-attack on white bread." History here: SD's healthier BLT alternative So, the rules shall be. Each of us will have one frying pan from which to work. The cardinal ingredients must be bacon (cholesterol-laden pig carcass for Max, and lean, healthy, Turkey bacon for me), any variety of lettuce, any variety of tomato and two slices of any type o' bread. Each contestant may apply whatever condiments (mayo, mustard, etc...), herbs, spices, or petroleum products they wish. No additional veggies, cheeses or meats may be used. A total of three sandwiches will be made, one per judge. Each judge will simply decide which they like more. With three judges, there cannot be a tie. The loser of this competition will shave their head. I'm looking for firm judges. Who's in? |

I officially volunteer as a judge. I will be at the TAS and if there is one thing I know about, it is a good sandwich. I suggest we are blind folded so it is a true "blind taste test".

Dave, you're out of line soldier. You think that punk-ass, low fat, turkey jerky tooth breaker has anything on this beauty? Think again my friend. We're hardcore RC pilots who need sustenance to fuel our gimbles, not mamby pamby tofu circle flyers!! WE ARE MEN! ROOOOOOWR!! I'll accept your challenge, but if you would like to accept defeat this might be a good time to save face. I've spoken to momo, and we will have the goods in hand at The TAS. You're gonna look cute in a mohawk. Madmax Duncan BLT Connoisseur and 2006 TAS Champion Boat Race Anchor. ![]()

| Bad-Ass Super Contortionist! ![]() | Alright Max, bring it on. It's about time you took a step towards manhood and accepted the challenge. Seems both finally dropped. I see the camps are divided and I don't believe you speak for all here on Giants with your inaccurate assessment of the ultra gourmet, ever tantalizing piece of art known as the TBLT. That’s right... art. OK Mr. “HEART ATTACK ON WHITE BREAD”, I’ll have you know the judges are in for such a treat. My TBLT will be Salmon next to your fish-sticks. A Lexus next to your Pinto. A Dalton next to your Warbird. By the way future cue-ball man, the joke is on you. My head is already shaved! A crew cut is considered a professional edge in my line of work. I didn’t think you would go for it. You must have confidence in your abilities. I somehow admire that. Since you are displaying your “sandwich” with a side of Doritos, I move we add a garnish and a side item to our little competition. This will allow me the opportunity to even better showcase my talents as a gourmet sandwich Picasso. From now until the fateful day of the TBLT vs. BLT cookoff, my mantra shall be... "Eat better, live longer, huck more!" We need two more judges who will be on site at the TAS… Don't worry, I'll bring you some Rolaids. You'll need them after eating Max's culinary swill... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! Last edited by SuperDave; 08-25-2007 at 05:30 AM. |

| Bad-Ass Super Contortionist! ![]() | bacon foam.jpgAnd by the way, it appears you use approx. 8 slices of pork bacon per sandwich. That equates to 28 grams of fat, 8 of which are SATURATED (can you hear the arteries slamming shut?). And what exactly is that in your picture... bacon foam?

I watched your video challenge. I am glad to see the T is for Turkey and not Tofu. That uncooked turkey just looks wrong but at least it is meat.

I want to say once and for all, as an official judge for this contest, I will not be influenced by fancy marketing and hype. This will be decided stricktly on taste and consumption staisfaction. Can I get a pickle with that? -STEVE- |
