| Los chupacabras R/C P.R. ![]() | i finally finished setting up my funtana and just wonder is the control surface deflections recommened in the manual for hi and lo rates should be followed all the way or can i set up better hi rates heres the rates by the book surface lo hi ail 20 up 19 dwn 35 up 35 down elv 13 up 15 dwn 45 up 45 down rudder 25 right 25 left 40 right 40 left this is how i set up min exactly and will be trying it tommorrow can it be trimed better with any of your expierence thanks |

| Gasser Baby ![]() | Milocs, Those settings will be fine. However, this bird will shock you with the pitch sensitivity. Either dial down your low rate on elevator, put in healthy expo (~35%) or just take care on that axis. On takeoff, let it wind up and get going, then GENTLY pull back just a little. My first takeoff, and many others, were surprised by a near vertical takeoff with moderate back on the stick. Until you get used to it, this thing will scare the crap out of you, and porpus on landings really bad if you over-compensate. Use the throttle to set your decent, and hold the ele real steady, then just a tiny flare and cut throttle a few inches before touchdown, greasy will happen. If all is well with the build, it does not drop a wing in stall, but the nose just drops. Can collapse the gear. Fly it in at low throttle so that is decending at a nice rate, let it come down on it's own. Don't force it. You will love the F90. Awesome bird. Good luck on the maiden!

| Los chupacabras R/C P.R. ![]() | thats why i was asking about the settings on its maiden flight it scared me silly but was able to get it down with out a miss hap thanks ill be trying out with the setting tommorrow on its first flight nothing was set up the way it was supposed to... |

| Los chupacabras R/C P.R. ![]() | WELL everything was great had real good control and good feel compared to the first flight thanks for all your help ::: just got so carried away cause it was flying so great that the tana ran out of fuel on the downwind leg of my approach and it was gusty and slamed it as it didnt float to well downwind and it was to low to turn into the wind and bit the big one... damage minor some scrapes and a little crack to the cowling and landing gear ply broke off but the rest held up pretty good and some ultacote damage from the impact.... thanks for your help againILL be BACK LOL Last edited by milocs : 02-27-2006 at 03:35 AM. |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | That is testimony to how good the funtana is, we have one guy over here who also ran out of fuel coz he was enjoying the plane too much. Glad to see there is no major damage, and hope your back up in the air soon. |

| Los chupacabras R/C P.R. ![]() | well im back in bussiness and having mad fun with the tanna .. just like all said easy fix just added a better piece of wood for landing gear and have had a couple of hard landings and all that may happen is gear might open op a little so thanks for the tips |

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Hey you guys I have a couple questions on my funtana also. I am running a O.S 160 with a APC 18x6W and 15% fuel and I just maidened it today and it flew without any problems,I got to hover it in the second flight and it hovered under half with plenty of vertical power I am very pleased with the motor and power setup! but my questions are 1.when I was hovering it it had enough aliron to stop the roll but it took full aliron deflection and it was tough to get it and keep it in a hover at times, A pearson at the field was telling me that lowering the pitch of the prop would help with the spinning and free up the alirons so question is, is that true? and what size of prop do you recommened? he was thinking a 18x4W sound right? 2.the guy at the field was also telling me that if you have a enough tail weight, when you do a wall it should snap out to one direction. Now right now if you go about a quarter of a throttle and pull full up elevator it snaps into wall without dipping eaither wing tip is that the way it should be? 3.It does not do very good blenders are inverted flat spins it seems like the nose wants to drop, I was kind of expecting it to do this sense there is alot of weight in the nose. Does the plane need to be tail heavy to achieve these maunvers? othere then thoughs things everything seems oky it does exclent waterfalls and very very good walls I have not tried a knife edge i am nervious that it will not do a good slow knife edge are not track very straight. This is my first glow pure 3d plane I have hade a couple of electrics but nothing this big before so I am kind of new to this need some helpful tips Will send pictures soon of it flying. |

| The Burgur Lifestyle is kickas ![]() | the absolute best would be: Saito 125 or YS 110 R770 NOBS 1985 Faup cell battery 5 5925's and graphtec landing gear and 15lb tailwheel. cactus aviation controle horns. DHS pull pull on the rudder thats what I would do If I had the $$$$$

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | i am running a funtana 90 with a saito 100, moved tank back to wing tube with hitec mg645 all the way around and a 5645mg on rudder. it dont shot out of a hover like a rocket but it does float around like a foamy |
