I run 13 JR 8611A's on a smart fly power expander with a JR 770 PCM and it works just fine with no problems.....There all on my 37.5% AM YAK. I also use smart fly batt share with 2 4800 fromeco batteries with 2 switches. I don't see you having any problems. Chuck |

The rx can easily handle it.

I run 8 JR 8511's through my R1000 Rx with no problems. I have a couple of 770 rx's but I would NEVER use them in a giant scale they only go in my profiles. I had one in a 72 inch glow model and it used to glitch all the time, changed rx's and then no problems. Maybe your 770's in the states are different but the one's we get here in Australia are of poor Malaysian built quality. (cicuit boards falling out of casings, glithches on gasoline models) Do yourself a favour and buy a top of the line rx (made in Japan) for the big planes. |

Must be an Australia thing, I fly 2, 40% and 2, 35% planes and also a race plane with out any problems what so ever. There may very well be a difference in what you guys recieve than the JR 770's we get......................I wonder Now I have had problems, well hits on the JR 700 but they were FM not PCM. Could be your set up. Chuck |

A JR 770 costs about 125 bucks. They are the same physical size as a R700 same case but PCM, the boards in them arent designed to handle large current loads. Really they are for small light models and sailplanes where space inside is an issue. For 350 bucks I can get a top of the Line JR R1000 10 channel Rx which I know is going to give me perfect service. Now in my mind an extra 225 bucks when we are talking a 6500 dollar aircraft is pretty cheap insurance. It irks me however when you pull a servo cable out of the receiver and the whole circuit board comes out of the case with it. Another thing you do realise that the 770 is a single conversion Rx????? | |||||||||||||||

This is a Proper giant scale Receiver!!!! Nice big board with good power buses to take the loads comfortably! Now if you could read the front of the Receiver is says Made in Japan, while the 770 clearly says made in Malaysia. Why would JR not let the Malyasians also make thier top line receivers if there wasnta quality issue???????? |

I run 9 servos, NO PROB!!!! All digital. I was running a 950SPCM from JR. Having switched to the 945 DC SPCM Rx. I used to run straight to the Rx, but after seeing the loads on our flight controls go up in the 6 years I've been flying GS'ers, I have since switched to the i4c Products ISOLATOR. Your typical PCM Rx draws 25mAh. Therefore eliminating the need for a large Rx pack. You just run large servo packs, and a small REALLY LIGHT WEIGHT Rx pack, and go have fun!!! In my case, 2 FromeCo 4800's for the servo pack, a 2400 for ign, and Rx pack, I'm undecided. I would like to see FromeCo come out with a smaller pack, say in the 1400 mAh range. *HINT HINT, Kurt/Mike!* I have a DuraLite Plus 950 that was in my first 330S that met it's demise by stupidity!!! I'm not too sure about that pack. It has been sitting in my vehicle since I lost that bird. I should get it out and see if it charges.... That is the lifeline to that bird!! I don't think I would personally trust it as far as I can throw it!!! I just remembered that I have a extra pair of 2400's that I got from FromeCo, I'll use it on my Rx pack!! Talk about NEVER charging!!!! Someone do the math pretty quick like........ 96 hours of flying!!!!! And finger out that I only fly 10 minutes...... Over 500 flights before I would even think about charging!!!! AHHHHH!!!!! Let's go flying!!!! Chris~
