Well I think this was my 3rd tome making it to the MDA Fly-In in Taylor MO Labor Day weekend. A great time was had by all. Two of my flying buds busted the noses off of their big birds and by the end of the weekend they had smiles back on their faces. I snapped a couple of pics and I know that some of my other friends snapped some too. Hopefully they will get a chance to post theirs. I also wanted to say that on Sunday morning Brother Of Tuna Boat (B.O.T.B.) found its way to a different trailer. I have had reports that the new owner has had a couple of good flights on it and is enjoying the big ole bird. The pilot count was in the mid 60's bringing ALL KINDS of aircraft out. It is truly a great fly-in to go to. It is all about flying, whatever you have. hope you enjoy the pics |

I had a blast even if I put my 40% Aerotech Yak in First thing Friday. I have been going to this event for a few years now and have always had a great time with great friends. The pilot count was down a little this year but I think there were more pilots and less static. Lance flew the heck out of his F-15. I would say 20 flights for the weekend and he was still going when I pulled out of the field. BTW Dave thanks for letting me use your camera to shot Brian's A1.

Chris, I would have loved to have heard how much fuel he went through in that F15. He won the Pilot's Choice award didn't he? Glad to hear that your Yak is just about ready to fly. I was at my van getting something when I walked back out to the flight line and saw you all walking out to the Yak. My stomach just dropped knowing how happy you were with it now that you got a couple of flights on it. |
