Flying Giants Logo Contest?

Well, been reading all the new posts several times a days since the switch. Seems there is medeocre enthusiasum about the new name. Some are hanging on to the Flying Cirkus mystique that we all came to find magical. So, maybe we should all pull together and work on a look that really pops.

I see the header logo that Max and Biff probably came up with in a vacuum preparing for the launch. It's not bad, a bit plain and less than exciting, reminds me of baseball frankly. Not a dig, just an opinion. I'm ready to get on with it, and get behind the new venue.

So, maybe if you throw up a challenge to the people that made Cirkus great, and let them churn up their creative juices and throw out some ideas on a logo that says what we are about. I know you are already working on vinyl for the new logo, but maybe that's premature.

So, what say you? Are there any artistic spaz's out there with ideas? I'm already playing with ideas that incorporate the spirit of Cirkus into a new icon. Will the staffers consider amending the look?

Cummon... let's generate some FLYING GIANTS Style...

Dude, I like that logo! It was somewhat created in a vacuum, but I think it has a bunch of potential. My super duper graphics guy (same dude who did other familiar logos) is working on kicking it up a few notches. Any and all recomendations are or course appreciated, let's see whatcha got! I will definately jump on a better alternative.

Just a thought: ask the graphics guru to try a incorporate a rolling harrier type of motion. The new one remind me of some sort of race...maybe Reno would be interested...LOL. It's also cool that you guys are very much putting the effort into making this a 'user's site'. I know I'm not the only one who sees the efforts.

i think it looks pretty good as it is.. ....i dont know how to explain it.. cuz it cant be "cirkus style" anymore... and "Giant style" jus doesnt work
