Hey Matt, The prop went out today. Take some pics of the crate. That should be entertaining. Enjoy it. Jim

| It will fly!!! |
Well, Matt couldn't wait for me to watch the maiden. He was doing a test run on the engine yesterday, it was running so well he decided to get the first flight in. The report was that all went well. Today, I met Matt at the field with a few of planes and the skydiver in tow. After we assembled the planes, I started out with a maiden on my new micro stick. I had the throws set to high and ended up dinging it in when I couldn't keep up with the roll rate. Minimal damage just the leading edge between the tip rib and the next one in. It was Matt's turn. A few flips and the DA 100 purred to life. It was very quiet on cans. out to the center of the runway and off he goes. He puts it through it's paces including a high hover and a rolling harrier. As the day progressed I flew my 30% Yak and big stick. A few drops on the skydiver with some minor damage repairable at the field. Matt got some more flights in on the Extra. On the third flight of the day (Matt's 4th on the plane and 4th on any 100cc plane) He was hovering down on the deck. He didn't quite get a tail touch (on the ground, but he did clip a cable with the tail wheel) but he said that he wasn't going to. There are some of the photos from the flight. Toward the end of the fight he ran out of airspace on a recovery and had a soft Aunt Jemima, it would have to be referred to as a tall stack. The damage was minimal, Prop, pulled out the gear plate, and come minor damage to one wing. All in all it will be a quick repair. Matt took it like a true Giant. He Just looked over the damage and said "Well I got that over with!" Matt wasn't the only one with a hard landing. "Lucky" my skydiver lived up to his reputation and had to finish the day with a dirt dive. It was the highest drop of the day and the pack opened but the chute didn't deploy. It looked just like the dirt dive he did in E-Town KY. When I got to him in the beans he wasn't even trying to wave his arms for help this time. That is probably because both arms were broken. He will undergo surgery tonight to repair the damage. Here are the photos of Matt's flights, and the aftermath.
