It's close, The AMA Dist. II Fly-in

For those that keep track of events at the Gilbertsville Polo Field we're hosting the 2007 AMA fly-in on Sept 21-23. You might ask why do pilots keep track of these events and the answer is friendship and fine flying. This coming weekend is unrestricted as far as size and types of aircraft is concerned plus our AMA Dist. II Vice-President Dave Mathewson will be with us all weekend to answer any questions and concerns anyone might have regarding his run for the AMA Presidency. A saturday night FREE chicken B-B-Q is planned for all AMA registered pilots and family and there are no charges to AMA members for anything including registration, parking, whatever. As we are 3D friendly, I hope to see a great turnout of FlyingGiant members as we have in the past.

Well I'm here to tell you that if you missed the AMA Dist. II Fly-in you missed a great one . The weather was awesome with clear skies and abnormally high temps. reaching into the 80's. There was a tremendous cross section of planes from 42%s to small electrics with everyone having a ball flying. The free to pilots and family B-B-Q Chicken dinner was delicious.
