| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | I need a new plane as my Weston Hype (3d funfly) cant fly in any wind over 5mph, living in Scotland its generally 10-15mph plus. I bought a qq 86 yak but dont feel confident too fly so, should I buy a 69 qq, a cermark sukhoi or a hangar 9 showtime, futana 3d etc. Any of you guys have ideas on a good practice plane for both precision and some 3D, but will fly in the wind. Thanks Mark |

Hey Mark, Of the one's you mentioned, the QQ would be sweet and also the Showtime. I own both the Showtime with a Saito 125, and a QQ 73" with a YS 140FZ. Both of these planes are easy to fly, will do precision with the right setup and will 3D with the best of them. BTW: You'd be surprised how easy that QQ 86" is to fly, very solid and light in the air, no problem to land. I'm not trying to talk you into flying it if you're not comfortable, that could lead to bad nerves at a very inopportune time ![]()

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Stay with your QQ Yak. I have the 1st generation 84" QQ Yak and love it. Set your plane up with reduced throws. You will be amazed at how stable and gentle this plane can be. Get some stick time on it, and you'll be tossing it around like a foamy in no time. Z ![]() |

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Well guys youre right Im going to order the DA50 for the QQ yak and then all systems go, it works out a bit insane to buy another palne when ive spent so much on this one and as recommended this is not the hardest plane to fly, low rates and off i go........... ![]() |

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Thanks for the reply guys Ive been flying the hype in upto 15mph wind and it obviously flies well, and lands fine if wind and runway match (well hovers to landing). Even weston say 10-15 mph is max wind they are not designed to fly in windy conditions its the wing, its landing not taking off fun flys are not designed for strong wind. Ive bought a groove by Weston and that likes the wind big time, carves through it well. Regards Mark |

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | Just to clarify the Hype will fly in any wind, we had a day at winds upto 25 and i gave up at about 15mph, a friend flew in 25mph. Was it fun probably not, a calm day upto 7mph and its superb fun, gets windier its less fun and surely that is what flying is about, enjoyment and taking your plane home. Or fly in max wind with as I discovered the groove and have good controlled flying and land. My piper cub flies allegedly in 20mph + wind, id rather fly lame in light wind and enjoy the superb flying charecteristics. Maybe Im just a beige trouser type of guy, pipe needed, but i sure enjoy my flying. Regards from scotland Mark |

| huck that! ![]() | FntanaX100 flys pretty darn good. If you want something to take the $$$ away from your eyes when you fly, get that. However, the best way to learn is to fly carefully up high. No need to bring it down on the deck until you're ready and comfortable with it. I've seen more planes crashed this way. 50%
