Chicken Wing..Oct. 27 & 28

Hello all!

In a day or two you will see a flyer for the Chicken Wing go up on the IMAC website. We are planning on Saturday October 27 and Sunday October 28th at the Cincinnati Aeromodelers field in Harrison, Oh.

For those of you who are new to the North Central, the Chicken Wing is a fun event that gives us the excuse to get together, fly and eat chicken wings. Basically we fly on Saturday--copies of next year's sequences are available to try out--and then we head to BW-3 in Harrison for wings and a few beverages. In years past and weather permitting a few of us head back to the field to burn whatever we didn't burn at our contest. Sunday is more flying. We hope to see you all there and if weather is not permitting, don't worry, we still get together, eat, socialize and fly helicopters in my living room.

Cant remember any Canadians showing up but they would definitely be more than welcome to come down and enjoy the weekend with us. A weekend of friends, flying, good food and relaxing.....what more could you ask for.

I am going. I cant wait. Anyone going to be there Thursday night? I somehow got Friday off of school and was thinking about heading down Thursday night or Friday morning. When is everyone going to be getting there?

I would not expect much to be going on till Friday night and that is weather dependant. If the weather is bad, who knows. We are in that time of year where it could be snowing or 70

I have not heard any news of next years knowns, anyone have any info?

I will try and answer everyone's questions here:

Yes!! Canadians have attended this event (when it was held in Columbus, Oh). Any and all Canadians are welcome.

Will is right, there isn't much activity with this event until Friday night when a few of us locals and early arrivals (Sanik, Boyko and Hicks) will have a Chicken Wing warm up. So Jamie, you could show up Thursday but you will be all by yourself on Friday during the day because us "grown-ups" have to work.

Mike and Jeff--I really hope the both of you can make it because this is the last hoorah before Old Man Winter sets in.

As far as next year's sequences are concerned, as of yesterday I understand the final touches are being scrutinized before their release.

Will and I really look forward to this fun event every year and we hope to see all of you there!!
