Always on because the coupling is always there.

you won't notice it as much while hovering but you're hands are going to be full of stick then anyway, its not like you are trying to draw a straight line east to west while on KE.

As smartass as it may sound, the right answer is whatever you feel comfortable with. I personally don't run any knife edge mixes, ever. Reason being, that's what's comfortable to me. Many people like to have a knife edge mix that's on all of the time. Others like it on a switch so they can turn it off during a hover/TR. Still, there are those like me that would rather deal with a little coupling than fool with a mix or switch. Just play around with it, and see what feels best to you. There is no right or wrong way to do it.

I agree with that. I'm also on the same boat of using no mix at all. Do whatever you feel better doing.

Most planes that fly reasonably well are OK with the mix on all the time...
In a hover... with say, 3% elev mixed to rudder... a quick rudder correction would not be noticed...
I have flown some planes that needed two mixes.. one for high speed/low AOA KE and another rate for low speed high AOA 3D KE.. nice thing is.. you can put the two Rudder mixes on the same switch as the low/high rates....
Many people prefer "Conditions"..... think about that.

I have mine on a switch. I almost always have the switch on, but it is there just 'cause I want it to be. Like they said, it's all about preference.
