Default What it is???

Okay - UNCLE!!
I give up trying to figure out what these gadgets are for.
Your best guess ( serious and otherwise is fine) is solicited because I keep saving these things with no idea as to the why-for.
(Yes- I am a hopeless practical saver)

The top one is so you can strap the bind plug to your tranmitter or something similar and be able to unclip it for use.

The metal piece is for a smooth rachet on your throttle I think.

Is anyone using any of these things or do you toss em in a "twilight zone" too?

These parts either came included with a JR airborne pack or my Spectrum radio.

sweetpea- as truly useless as your hunch would assign that clip with lanyard part to be- I think you may be on to it -but wait - why the hell include the male part that engages the other - again for no apparent reason? Maybe IT is another means to use the open end to pass a narrow velcro strap to hold the bind plug till needed.
Gee, All that and I stow the bind plug in the battery compartment.

The metal bar HAS to be radio related as - I'm certain- all these came with a receiver, servos and ect. airborne pack. Might have even been packaged with the servo wheels.

Rolling Thunder- thanks! your suggestion must be right on - tho I would not know how to install. Probably no big deal to figure out once you open up the back of the transmitter.

The first thing is just a little clip, the second thing is the throttle latch on the DX7.

mine was also with the servo grometts and screws. but i know for shure its not to check the valve clearence. and the ratchet in the radio for the throttle is way way smaller than that, i have removed it before on another radio. so it aint for that. i just figured it was to strap a servo down or something like that. and by the by, i didnt throw it away either. figured i would use it for somthing never know

sweetpea- I've been stewing on the lanyard concept. It could prove useful if you wanted to hang the bind clip on a nail, hook or whatever. I really believe that is it's purpose.

Guess I'll still keep it all the same. It's a neat "thing" that might prove useful some other way some day. (yep, I am a hopeless pack rat!)

So really the metal bar is the only thing still unresolved (in my mind).
Guess before long I will be taking the back off my transmitter just to put an end to this mystery accessory.

FL. AV8r -I think my brother (WB4ENE) uses a version of those lever things in his antenna designs.

I have no idea what practical application the metal piece has in R/C, but I can tell you what it looks like.

Looks like a retainer clip used to keep an item from sliding off of a rod. As an example you can typically see this application under a bathroom sink on the mechanism that operates the drain stopper.
