Default extra 300 vs. funtana

i flew a hobbistar 60 last summer. this year i havent flown because i bought a house. i have a sim that ive been goofing off with and i would like to get a small electric to goof off with in the yard. i have 2 electrics in mind and just want some input on what you all think about which one would be a better plane. right now im on the fence. should i get an extreme flight extra 300 e or a e-flight mini funtanaX

Check out some of the Fliton stuff too. Depending on how much room you have to fly in your back yard, they are a little lighter and a little more agile.

Scrap the e-flight mini funtana... their little 260 is a much better flier, but it also doesn't hover too well as it tends to torque continually so is not that great for learning real 3D on.

I'd recommend an Airfoilz Yak as your next step for a no hassle flier that has the ability to progress with you but is easy to repair with no coupling issues in flight. That's what I use for practice and it is great. See my video on you tube.

If you must have a balsa bird, the 45" extreme flight 300 would be great but a little more challenging than the airfoilz. I am getting the 58" Extreme flight Extra as a small field practice ship as it will be great when foamies are getting tossed around in the breeze.

Multiplex Acro-Master.Very strong, big foamie that does every trick in the book and handles the winds(just a suggestion).I had no luck at all with the snap happy funtanas(old and new one,yes i gave it a second chance). If by chance you do get a funtana,Due yourself a favor and dont use the wheel pants our as i call them HOLEPUNCHERS.I have not had the good fortune to check out the extreme flight................Good Luck!

Go with the EF. It's a lot more durable.

Having flown both, I'd say the EF Extra flys quite a bit better.
