| I just wanted to get the opinions of fellow giant scale flyers. I'm selling a Unfinished 40% Carden extra330 and I have it posted in the swap swap for about 3 weeks now, so far I have no offers. My question is, how much do you guys think this is worth? I'm not sure if my asking price is too high or is it just no one wants a Carden anymore? I already posted that I would consider any offers, but still no one want's to try . I might just get desperate and sell it dirt cheap! Here are the details: fuselage and tail groud is framed-up, wing cores are still in the box, I'm including Carbon fiber landing gear, Carbon fiber wing tubes, Carbon fiber tail gear, Carden scale panel, Carden hardware packs and 3 rolls of white Monokote. All are brand new and I've invested over $1500 on project. |

Hate to say it, but lately it's been hard selling stuff. I've sold a 35% that I built and covered, never flown for $600, and a 40% arf for peanuts also. It's a tough market right now. The new stuff coming out is so cheap and such high quality, it makes the used market a tough place to be.

It hasd been slow that is for sure. Maybe hang on to it and go to some swap meets in the flying season coming up. Or try to sell it by posting it again in the flying season.

I would think that a carden 330 is pretty specialized and is out of the question for most fliers because of the total investment in the airframe...ARF's are cheaper (and used arfs are even cheaper).....you might have to go to where people buy them......eg try and go to some IMAC events with fliers or take it there.....if you are unwilling to ship it will be very difficult to sell on a national web site...

I have read the posts on your item and generally agree that you have an albatross. We have a population of new flyers that are becoming accustomed to opening up a box and, and within a few weeks, be up in the air for a maiden flight. What you are selling is a "project", which is okay, but limiting. I think the best way to sell is to attend some meets- fly sites with project in hand and a killer price. Be prepared to lose a lot of money....just cut your losses and move on...happens all the time.....V.

Also i see alot of guys down sizeing too, I just think these birds are to damn big to haul in a truck anymore. you need a trailer to haul them around. So theres another 2 grand or so.

Vtailman needs my Bonanza... and as for your Carden, I think about this now... It really is a small group that can afford to build it, much less wants to finish what you started... RCU has a good classified ad section...
