Default AP classes

Whoa, it's been ages since I've written anything on here.

I am in my junior year in high school, at a local private school and it's kicking my freaking @$$! The biggest problem is these two college credit classes called AP (advanced placement). One is an English class and the other is European history. I'm not failing any of these classes, I just have pretty much devoted every moment I have to working.

These two classes are insane, I have to write at least 2-3 essays a week, each being "college level". I spend about 4 hours on each essay to get a mid B for a grade. So yeah, that's just my little vent, I haven't flown anything for about a month.

So how about you guys? 'any experience with these classes and how you kept your head above the water?

Rudder,

I did the same thing about 20 years ago...
Don't worry - the college pays off... then you can throw down for a couple of giant scale models...It feels great when your done with school...

Also the more AP classes you get out of the way the less money the college will soak you for...Just be sure these are actually college acredited courses.. I had couple courses say they were - when in reality they weren't...

Hang in there!!!

The B you get in AP looks much better than Joeys A+ in basic skills english.

Keep on working hard and pull it up to a B+ or maybe even an A.

I am taking an AP geography class in my freshman year of high school.....I have an A in the class but it keeps me up until 2:00am some nights. Hopefully in the long run its worth it.

Don't give up, it'll pay off in the end. I took AP classes when I was in high school a little over 6 years ago. I started with 20 hours and skipped a bunch of weed-out classes.

I feel your pain......I took many Honors courses in HS.

But I'd give anything to go back to those HS classes.......Upper level college and my actual job are so more demanding than any HS course I ever took.

And to top off all that.....wife and kids to deal with.... Trust me, you got it easy!

Yeah, I have to deal with some ap classes this year in math. I am going to have to go the local college next year for ap calculus. I actually want to do this because if I get an A It counts as 2 A's and if I get a B it counts as an a. I also wont have to take any math my senior year.

Definately stick with it and really prepare for those AP tests in may. I wish I would have taken more than 1 AP my senior year, it would have helped alot in college. Look at it this way: if you get a few college credits in highschool, you'll be that much closer to the classes you'll be really interested in at college.
Good luck!
