The OKC 3D Challenge is one of the have to visit events of the year! This Year there were 18 freestyle Pilots flying a 2 round 2 min freestyle With Big Names such as Jason Noll, Jeff Pfeifer, Sean Mc Murtry, and Josh Glavin. The Event started out as a Free flight for all. And progressed into the Freestyle. Sean Mc Murtry won the event with Josh Glavin in second. There were some treates there also with the inovative Mid motor VPP of Jeff Pfeifer’s, which allows him to do the wild and crazy Nose Tap and inverted takeoff! Tim from E-Foamies with his giant foamy raven! It’s a 48in WS giant indoor foamy!! Made of all EPP. He also had his prototype EPP Yak, and prototype EPP mini Edge soon to be available. There was a Dual flight demo with two Mako Jets which was the first time that has been done indoors, Jason Noll had his Giant Eclipse foamy which flies amazingly slow! And of coarse the Smoke systems on the birds.

There was a obstacle course that made even the best pilots look bad! It was only a five obstacle course but tough as nails!! Took somewhere in the range of 4 min to finish. With only one person completing the course without any hits. There was the famous Hover Wars which resulted in all aircraft entered getting destroyed! I believe at one time Chris Mc Nair took a bird with no control but throttle and threw it into Jason Noll’s bird nose first while in hover, Fun sight to see! Brandon Chitty and Jason Nole had a Love quarrel!! I believe Jason won that match. Seemed like everytime you looked Brandon was in a wrestling match with somebody!! That made for some really good laughs. Its great to see everyone having a good time. All in all it was a great event. I have found that both years of this event are just all out fun! With some of the most friendly people on the planet. You don’t want to miss next year!!
