Help! tx rx requrements

i am interested in the 69,the 73, or the 88 yaks but what are the radio system requirements features and progaming required for these planes? i assume that my old trusty jr sport sx600 system would be insufficient.secondly, my flying expience is rather limited. i have never flown an arobatic airplane, onlyscale sport planes.which plane would you suggest? thanks,tc.

Actually, you can fly these planes on a four channel transmitter/receiver combination if you want to. There are really only four things to control. You can use "Y" connectors to drive more than 4 servos. For example, the larger planes typically use two servos on elevator and one each on aileron.

If you can fly a sport scale plane in the .40 glow size you can easily fly the larger Yaks. Perhaps just get someone with large-scale experience to check out your plane first and maybe trim it up on the first flight.

If you use a gas engine, a PCM receiver is preferred (better noise rejection from the sparker). This requires a more expensive transmitter as well. The new 2.4 gHz systems are also fine with gas.
The transmitter does not have to be too fancy. Dual rates and exponential are nice to have, especially if you want to do 3d flying. Then you have high rates for 3d and low rates for everything else. Exponential works in a similar fashion.
