posted this in another forum but might not have been the right place. I am thinking of going to the Joe Nall for a few days this year. Thought I might rent a RV and park it up there. Having never done this before can anyone help me on what I need to do or prepare for? What day can I show up to stake out a spot? How do I get a golf cart. Anything special I should make sure the RV has. Basically I need a rent a RV and hang out at the Joe Nall for 5 days for dummies guide. If someone doesn’t mind letting me know how to make this is success that would be awesome. Thanks in advance! |

=make sure it has a generator b/c there is no hook ups there. =do not use the bathroom for anything but emergancys b/c your water tank will not last for 5 days of showers and washing up. there for use the showers on site and the port o potties unless like i said it is one of those you know emergancy situations =make sure the propane tanks are full and the fridge is set to run off the propane tanks. ( for those of you that do not have a rv YES they can do that) =use the water only for washing dishes and turn it off any time your not actually washing something =bring extra gas cans b/c you will get blocked in more than likely and it will be hard to just leave and go get some more gas for the generator. depending on how much you run it (Air conditioner) = ussually rvs are designed for only like 2 days self contained with now hook ups this is why it is important =park far away from the run way if you plan on sleeping in b/c at the crack of dawn you will hear the motors starting up. = get there early enuff to pick out a nice level spot other wise you will need blocks of wood to drive up on to level the camper =AND BRING LOTS OF FOOD AND DRINKS with all the little things like you would put on a burger. |

We do have alot of people start showing up on Saturday before. The cost is $10.00 per day for camping. For Wed, Thru, Fri and Sat there is a $5.00 per day spectator fee, unless you register as a pilot. You can go to www.joenall.com and down load the forms to pre register. We have a full bath house and are working on building a 2nd one to be finished by the Joe Nall. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me. Have a safe trip and enjoy the Joe Nall. Thanks, Laura |

Thanks for all the good info. I think we are going to try and head up on monday. Hopefully there well still be some good spots. I am pretty excited about it I think its going to be loads of fun. I am thinking a golf cart is a must. Just curious but where are the good spots located at? Are they more towards the lake or more toward the entrance? Also thanks for the tips on the wooden blocks. |

Down by the lake are pretty good spots. Pretty good views if you setup on the road to the right of the lake. Better plan on going Sunday if you want to get one of those spots. Also on top of the hill overlooking the runway is a good spot. It just depends on where you want to be. I like putting the motorhome where I have just about the same distance to walk from the motorhome to the bath house and the same to the flight line. This year we are going to get there on Saturday so I'm sure we'll be able to snag one of the better spots. Cant wait though.

There is plenty of camping all around. We also will have additional camping at the lower end of the field this year. This is where the new gazebo and bath house are being built. If you are wanting to rent a golf cart be sure to do so before you get to triple tree, as there is no renting carts on site. Thanks, Laura |

I have been to the nall once for a day. This year the wife and I are planning on going for the week with a few friends and I will be pulling a 19ft camper. Was wondering about water for the camper. Someone told me that a truck travels around to empty the tanks for you and give fresh water for a fee. Was wondering if that is true or what kind of arrangements will I need to make. I can make it a few days without a shower but the wife, dont think so. Cant wait!!!
