ok, its funny now but then it wasnt. seems being a heli pilot doesnt automatically enroll you in being an airplane pilot. I had finished my super stick 60 and was really excited about flying it. unfortunately the club field was busy (real airport and more traffic than usual), so I took it out into the desert for some bush piloting. the area I wanted to fly from was unfortunatelyfull of water so we flew from an adjoining road. I believe now I should have waited to fly because the road was not as smooth as needed and my "skills" were a bit questionable. anyway, I got it on video. enjoy. my opinion was I was a bit too nose heavy producing a longer than normal run-up, and with the bumpy road I didnt get enough airspeed before I hit something major that caused it to tip over. can we say REKIT? woops.

Looks like you had enough speed, but didn't pull up, or the elevator was broke. Also try not to park you cars at the end of the runway... I'M JUST SAYING... Anyway sorry for the loss. Now fix it and try again... Because now it's a free plane!

Great video! Thanks for sharing your mishap. pretty funny stuff. Its kinda like when rc plane pilots learn to fly helis and reverse the pitch when the chopper is on the ground at high revs which causes self distruction a.k.a. flopping dead chicken...

inexperience, impatience and the abundance of smack talk before hand (it taste funny after you have to eat it again), caused most of my depression. lucky for me my brother gave his heli a mud bath right after my WTF insodent so I didnt feel too bad. My elevator wasnt broken but it was on dual rate. I think its broken now though, and I missed the cars, that was a good thing.

confusious say "rookie pilot who thinks he knows everything is bound to buy more epoxy"! After all that simulator time the only thing I didnt simulate was an incorrect setup (balance & not enough elevator throw). atleast my os91 is still useable, and I found all my pieces. I need some more plywood to make a new firewall and a new prop/spinner, and front wheel. other than that maybe some confidence and an expert pilot willing to laugh at a rookie heli pilot.
