Default Which Heli???

Well I have a Concept 32VR Helicopter. About 5 years ago I got it and basically got where I could fly it around in circles and that is about it. About two years ago I think my brother went in the barn to get something and bump it off the table and broke the tail boom badly. The engine still looks new. I was wondering for a little project for me what would be a good kit heli for me to buy. I would like to get to flying helis again. I have a Blade CP which I crashed. I just need a few parts to fix it but want to get a glow one going again.

Thanks!!!

There's lots of good choices out there. I've been flying a Raptor 50 for quite a few years & it works well. The newer models will be lighter and have a greater pitch range though. The Trex 600N looks hard to beat.... but the R50 has cheap parts & is somewhat durable - that's hard to beat too. I just got the Blade 400 electric and have been having fun with it.

I was wondering any good 30 size out there. I believe what was in my concept was a OS 32 Heli.

The problem with a .30 is, they have no power when you start flying basic aerobatics and 3D. they also don't auto vary well either, you'd be best starting with a .50 size. Rapter is really your best bet, the parts are cheap and not hard to get.
I've got a few JR heli's and they cost twice the $$ to fix

Raptor 30 with a tuned pipe isn't all bad. You end up being a smoother pilot to keep from bogging the motor. 50's are great, but the 30's are still fun. Check Ebay - there's usually quite a few choices of helicopters.

Thats a joke right?

Raptor 50 or Trex600n are probably your best bets. Crash cost of a 30, nearly the performance of a 90

Sukhoikid

A Raptor 50 or Trex 600N are your best bets for getting back into helis. It sounds like you want use your old 30, but the 50s are basicaly hopped up 30s. The performance gain you get from going to a 50 is well worth the investment. It will give you the stability you want to get a feel for the helis again and it will allow you advance into the 3D realm if you want.
Unless you have the money, stay away from the 60s and 90s. Every time I have crashed my 90 I could have bought a whole new 50 for the price of the repairs on the 90.
Find out what people in your local area are flying and then look at the replacement parts for the particular heli you want. Thats a good start. You might have the best heli on the market, but if you cant get help or parts for it its not going to be an enjoyable experience. The Trex 600N and Raptor 50 both have great prices on the heli and the parts.
Good luck

The Hawk from Century is a nice flying Heli for the money and is based around the .30 size engines. You might could find a .30 size motor mount for a Raptor and build it as a Raptor 30 and just drop the blades to 550's

I would definitely recommend the 600N. I've owned both a Raptor 50 Titan and now a 600N and I won't look back. The 600N is a bad ass bird! It is quick and light!

I would also say to stay away from a 30 machines because when you want to progress the 30 won't cut it for you. A 50 isn't that much more.
