It's not hard.
A few 2x4's make your legs attach part of your table and done.

On RCU there was thread with plans about a wooden stand you can build at home. It was kinda nice and would collapse.

1.5" PVC pipe with fittings, and foam. It will cost you 9 dollars in materials.

Thanks. I'm new to the hobby. Can you tell me what RCU means? Is it a web site?

The Stand the MrKiwi posted was designed by the guys at the Meroke Flying club in Long Island New York - it comes in Two sizes Regular and Giant scale.

They post the plans free on their web site;

http://www.meroke.com/sbbuildinginstructions.htm

The only real problem with it is that it is a tad large and heavy, so you cannot just pop it into your car. It becomes a fixture at the field... and THEN you'll have to fight to get to use it!

They do become popular in a hurry!

So download the plans and get your club to commision 3-4 - you will not be disappointed.

Good Luck!
