Long time full scale pilot, fairly newbie RC flyer. Really drawn to large scale and giant flying, but I need to get my thumbs in shape before risking that kind of bucks on my still feeble RC skills. My full scale is a homebuilt, so building is not alien, although it's been a lot of years since my teens and control-line balsa stick and paper building. The homebuilt took me over three years to finish, so I'm really glad there are all these ARFs available these days. Right now flying foamies and small bult up ARFs, and just starting to work on 3D flying. This is one great hobby. Saw some giants at the Channel Islands Condors site last year and got sucked in a bit more. H |
