I was there too and Matt was doing his thing well. So was Patty and the rest of the gang. Best part was I did the back seat ride / fly in a P-51. What a thrill!

What back seat? You must have been scwooshed. I took a ride from Bob hoover in the Evergreen p-51 in Tucson when i was 15. But i was scwooshed because you know, p-51's have no back seat. I was just a kid then. how'd you fit?

The P-51 I flew in had the fuel tank behind the pilot removed and a seat installed. It was cramped but well worth the squeeze for the experience. I had flight surface controls and throttle control.......about as much as I needed. Also gauges only included altimeter, air speed and a bubble level. Again, all I needed (or could handle).
