Default Who here flys Ultralights?

I am really looking hard at a Challenger II or a Phantom. I'd really like the Challenger for the 2 place. In case my wife and I wanted to fly. I have a nice grass strip and I can't afford a 172 plain and simple. I would love to be able to fly sunsets and sunrise flights.... any thoughts?

Be careful if you go to buy something. There is no such thing as a 2 seat ultralight. If it has 2 seats it must have an "N" number, and requires a license to fly it. Tom

I fly a Hy-Tech Hurricane. It's similar to the Phantom.

That's an easy one to answer. There are too many morons in this world and it was decided that if you have the ability to kill an innocent passenger, that some formal training would be required. Makes sense to me.

Back in the early eighties, we built a Beaujon Minimac. It had ailerons and a BRC system. The engine was a Cuyuna UL202 (440cc two cylinder).
Can't fins any pics online. The Beaujon website does not respond.
