Help! SHOW ME YOUR GARAGE!!!!!!

Hey guys I'm having a problem and need your help!

I'm trying to organize my garage and am at wits end how to do it.

I have a two car garage and the wifes car has to go on one side. I've got to try and make the other side decent looking and fit my Flying Giants in.

I have two giant scale planes with removable wings to fit in. I also have about 10 nitro planes that are hard to give up as I take some along for others to fly. I have a lot of power tools, one whole whole 5-shelf rack worth, and table top tools like belt sanders, band saw, jig saw, lathe, drill press, Shop Vac, Air Compressor, 6,ooo watt generator, work bench, full size safe, and roll-a-way tool chest. Oh yeah, 7 bikes for the wife & kids!

I know my next house will have a 5 car, 2 plane garage but am I screwed for now?

Please show me pics of your garage and give me some ideas how to change my lot from looking like Sanford & Sons backyard!!!!

Thanks!

I have a single car garage that my SeaDo occupies, I built a plane rack out of 1" PVC covered it with 1" pvc insulation for the nitro planes that should do it for yours, all my wings,(5) will fit on the top "shelf" and I have 2 more shelves for the planes works great, I don't know if you can see it in the background, if not let me know I shoot another pic

Looks good!

I've got two 8ft. long 2x4's with dowl rods basically doing the same thing but that makes no room underneath. Maybe I'll shorten them up from the bottom and that'll allow me to move the shop vac underneath.

Thanks!

glad I could help, I only have three shelves where I used to have four, took of the bottom and stood the wings up on the leading adge and that gave me more room.
p.s. I do all my building in a 9 x 10 room and have all the power tools in a closet, band saw, aircomp, drill press,8 gal shop vac, miter saw, took some time to fit everything in the room, (about 3 yrs) before I was happy and could move things easily, good luck and just think Pck Rat that should help, I have been throwing around an idea for a 4x8 lift that could be raised or lowered to store the big planes on when I ever build the 2 car carage in the back yard

I'll take a few more pics, but a little thought saves alot of room. I have all my birds up in hangars like these. Wings on the walls and still plenty of room for other things like fishing gear.

Here's a few pics of my "airplane room" in my apartment.

It's not complete yet, as you can tell from the boxes on the build table, but I've only been here a few weeks.

You might be able to take a few ideas to use on the two walls of your garage...lot's of available storage space on two walls

The wifes car does "NOT" have to go in the garage, that solves your problem.

My garage has a little of everything, but my trailer and most of my shop reside in there. I do have a small room that serves a build room as well.

There's also the thought that "he feels his wife's car "has" to go on one side", kind of like a compromise to his R/C passion
