How to update 12X Firmware?

Can anyone tell me if the JR Data Transfer software (12X/PC) can also be used to upload future firmware changes for the 12X? Thanks

No. JR provides no ability to update the firmware for enhancements except through the service center, when and if there are any updates. One of several things I find lacking in the flagship radio.
