Default iTunes Help

I backed up my HDD and ended up with 3 to 5 copies of every song in my itunes library. Does anyone know of an easy way to delete duplicates without clicking on every song? If not, Im gonna be here a while

I had that problem too. I ended up creating a new library and having it scan for all music on the PC. You lose your ratings, playlists and last-played info but you get one entry per song.

Not sure, it took ~32gigs of music and at the bottom of iTunes it showed 95+ gigs. Not sure if it duplicated the files or entries. Some songs are in the library 3x others are like 6 or 7. Im gonna look at that download. I'm down to the "I"s I had no idea how many songs begin with "I".

Thank you to all who PM'd me and helped me with my Mac/iTunes issues...

The program that did the trick is called iDupe
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...nes/idupe.html

If any other Mac guys have this issue, this a a great freeware.

Thanks again,
Steve
