From experience...you probably will not like the DA-150 with a 3 blade on this Yak..I know IMAC prefers it...but the 3 blades just are not enought...32x10 is great for imac...and 30x12 also works...30x12 seems to be better on 3D...but the 3 blade doesnt give it enough on vertical uplines. Wait on the DA-170 if you can..3 blade will do very well on the 170.

The Yak will only be for IMAC and the problem is with having a 2 bladed prop on it, may make it noisey and I can't afford that at my field. But, a member at my field does have a 3.0m Yak and he had a DA-150 on pipes in it and a 3 bladed prop on it as well as he was doing the Unlimited Sequence with it and it was perfectly fine.

Hi guys,
I wont be doing much on the Yak this week since my dad has gone away this week up to the Sunshine Coast working but some good news is that this afternoon I have ordered everything for it from DA Australia and will pick it up during the week after school .

Aaron , dont worry about 3 blade VS 2 blade for the moment . There are plenty

of guys in the upper classes with the 150 on a 3B and they see to be fine .

Also by the time you get up into those classes you will be on the 170 any way .

I have seen Chris and Roman both fly their planes and they dont seem to want

for power .

We ALL have to be on the look-out for the noise police and IF we need to suffer

a bit in the power department then we are all in the same boat . Just fly a bit

better and you wont need so much noise to pull the plane around with .

Stu .

PS The plane looks great , much better than those rotten old 260's

Hi Guys,
As you can tell i have been a bit lazy at the moment with this thread which im sorry about . Anyway, this is what i have done so far on it.

- Undercarrage mounted
- Stabs are done
- Motor is in
- Fuel tank is together
- Fuel tank tray is together
- Cooling vents are on

Right now My Dad and I are in the middle of making the the support bracket for the SWB Rudder tray and setting the tray up with all the servos and pulleys. As for the photos, i can not load any of them up at the moment since we are now back on dial up for the next few days and then soon to be back on broadband .
